OVERVIEW AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Leveraging over 17 years of professional IT business administration experience with Acorn, Rachel is a results-oriented professional skilled in talent acquisition, procurement and inventory management, and vendor relations. Prior to IT, Rachel spent 5 years in retail, and understands the challenges of supply chain management. She brings her expertise to bear managing procurement and administration, overseeing the acquisition of goods and services while ensuring adherence to budget and scope with our vendors.

Rachel plays a key role in building the Acorn team by leading the recruitment process and ensuring Acorn finds the best talent. As part of recruitment, Rachel is often asked by interviewees what she likes most about her job. Her answer is always that she greatly enjoys being able to hire people who are just starting out in their IT careers, knowing that they’ll be exposed to a myriad of technology, architecture, applications, and customers at Acorn, and will be able to find their niche in the field…seeing newcomers blossom into professionals.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys creating art (watercolor, sculpture), woodworking, trying new recipes, and reading. She is also passionate about volunteerism and is active with her local Big Brothers and Big Sisters chapter.
